Implant Tracking Systems, LLC began operations in 1999 in response to the need of periodontists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and restorative dentists to manage and grow their implant practices. In the ever-evolving field of dental implantology, the need to understand clinical outcome analysis for various implant systems and techniques is critical to providing the highest level of care to patients. Furthermore, the ability to properly track each and every case is key to a growing implant practice.While there were other practice management software packages on the market that provided a small subset of the needed features, no cost-effective and user-friendly software on the market could provide the level of specialized functionality required. Thus, Dr. David A. Gelb, a periodontist and implant surgeon, and Steven Trencher, a computer engineer, set out to develop a system that would meet--and exceed--the implant tracking needs of those clinicians serious about assessing clinical outcome, optimizing their practices, and striving to provide an optimal level of care to their patients. Thus, The Implant Tracker™ was born.
